Gerschon – Sustainable, Environmentally Friendly
Packaging Solutions

Gerschon provides sustainable packaging aligned with the PPWR (EU) 2025/40 criteria, requiring 100% recyclability. Furthermore, packaging must gradually incorporate an increasing share of PCR (post-consumer recycled material) by 2030, with binding criteria and quotas being finalised in 2028. We already supply jars, bottles, and closures containing up to 60% PCR, alongside CO₂-neutral, bio-based PE packaging that is also 100% recyclable.

We consistently develop our portfolio toward high-quality, eco-friendly solutions. By working closely with German manufacturers, nearly 90% of our products originate in Germany. Resource-efficient local production guarantees top quality while significantly reducing our carbon footprint through short supply chains.

SUSTAINABILITY AT GERSCHON -
RECYCLING, COMBATING GLOBAL WARMING AND MORE

Protecting the environment not only is a topic very dear to us, but also an absolute necessity.

More than 90 percent of our product range already is recyclable, and we have now also had our particularly environmentally friendly Green PE series certified accordingly. Working closely with the environmental services provider Interseroh, we have received the "Made for Recycling" seal of approval for our Green PE series developed by the bifa Umweltinstitut.

If you would also like to have your finished products upgraded with the coveted seal, we will be happy to support you in this process.

In addition, Gerschon has compensated all emissions caused by our website, our 2022 trade fair appearance and our Green PE bottles through certified projects by ClimatePartner. They help us calculate and reduce our carbon footprint, to execute carbon offset strategies and compensate for our greenhouse gas emissions with carbon offset projects.
